You may have noticed that the different mobile phone companies are popping up all over the place, but this is a good thing, as the more companies there are the more they will compete to be able to gain your custom. Having more custom will mean that they will be able to make a lot more money in the long term, so in order to do this they need to offer you the best deals. The best deals come in many different ways, giving you a lot more text and talk allowance for your money talking by mobile these days is often a lot cheaper than it is to have a land line, this is why a cheap mobile phone deal is appealing.

You will find that now you will be offered with some companies a top of the range mobile phone which will be free of charge with a 12 month contract or longer, depending on the agreement. They do this so that they know they will have your custom for a minimum term and they will know that you will be using their services rather than being able to swap from pay as you go to another. The cancellation period for these contracts should you chose to take one out is usually 7 days from the receipt of order or phone, although I am sure that with the great deals on offer this will not be something you will want to do.

The contract you sign for will depend not only on what is available by the provider but also on what you would like. If you took out a contract for 12 months for example and were really pleased with the service you would be able to extend it for a further 18 or 24 months. An added bonus is that many providers will only want half of the usual amount of line rental for the first few months.

They may offer you unlimited texts or phone calls for the first 6 months or they may decide that they will give you 3 months free line rental which usually works by them returning the money that you have paid, or you may only have to pay half of the usual line rental cost for the first 3, 6 or 12 months depending on the contract you have taken out.

Getting a phone on a contract generally means that you will save money, the pay as you go tariffs can only offer so much in the way of incentives, but with the contract as they know they will be able to keep you for longer they are able to offer you more. The contract deals sometimes will offer you some of the line rental money that you have given them, which is returned in the form of a cheque, put back into your account, or if you wish they will put it on to your next phone bill as credit which will mean you will be free of having to pay your bill for a while.

In addition to supplying you with a phone, some of the deals offered will include free access to the internet or a certain amount of download allowance, some will even give you an allowance of songs and ringtones.

If you continue with your current provider once the agreed term has ended then a lot of providers will also update your old phone which means you will save even more and be able to have the top model as part of your contract deal. This will continue each time a year or eighteen month period is up as an extra thank you from your provider.

Once the contract has ended the company will try to get you to stay with them, so even if you are pleased with the service it does well to ask what they will be able to offer you in the way of incentives. They are flexible and will be more than happy to sort a deal out with you which will mean you will be saving even further.
